The publication is devoted to the study of the "new reality", in which biotechnologies have taken a leading position in the field of natural sciences and technoscience, and scientific and industrial actions of people can lead to a threat to the existence of life on Earth. Humanity is increasingly aware of the fragility of life, the threats to the biosphere and society emanating from the uncontrolled development of technology. The metaphor "fragility of life" belongs to the outstanding Russian philosopher academician I.T. Frolov (1929-1999). It could not be more relevant today and has become the subject of discussion in this book by philosophers, biologists, sociologists, psychologists, mathematicians, and economists.
