Гуманизм и милосердие: доминирование добродетелей
The study is devoted to the identification of the specifics of humanism and mercy as
traditional spiritual and moral values of modern Russia. The special role of these axiological
attitudes, frankly virtuous nature suggests their dominant position. Avoiding discussion about
the interpretation of these categories, an attempt is made to identify the implementation of
virtuous actions, which can be classified as manifestations of humane and merciful behavior. In
the socio-political space, a social demand for humanization was found, the form of implementation
remains discussion. The opposition of Western and Russian humanism is analyzed, as well as
the presence of features of the new humanism in sociocultural reality. As part of thinking about
mercy, an attempt is made to differentiate between an idealistic idea of such behavior and ways
of realizing value. It is proposed to go beyond the limits of educational and religious mercy,
considering it as a category inherent in a person, regardless of his ideological views. The causal
nature of merciful behavior is assumed, causing a resonance, while the manifestation of daily
mercy in the environment of some professional activity does not cause a violent social reaction.
As a way to fix the implementation, discursive spaces of power, education, social networks and
media are described, in which the considered axiological attitudes are represented.
