The collection of works by leading Russian and foreign scientists and philosophers examines the problem of risks of scientific, technical and social development: biotechnological, informational, related to the introduction of artificial intelligence systems into everyday life. Humanity has reached a historical milestone, during which it needs to transform the socio-ethical principles of its existence in order to meet the challenges of the latest technologies. Otherwise, the use of these technologies will have disastrous consequences. The problems of the latest stage of scientific and technological progress are analyzed in the book in sociological, ethical, political, psychological, technical, biological, and neurological aspects. The concept of a new humanity by the outstanding Russian philosopher, academician Ivan Timofeevich Frolov (1929-1999), is proposed as a promising worldview corresponding to the challenges of the modern era. The published texts are reports at a scientific conference dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the scientist's birth.
