Тенденции демографического развития сельского населения регионов ЦФО за межпереписной период 2010–2020 годов
This article presents the results of demographic trends analysis in rural areas of all regions of the Central Federal District for the intercensal period from 2010 to 2020, taking into account the objectives outlined in the Russian Federation Concept of Demographic Policy through 2025. In most regions of the Central Federal District, the rural population is declining, despite the fact that most of these regions are attractive for migrants. The proportion of the rural population of post-working age in almost all regions of the Central Federal District is higher than the Russian average. Despite the demographic policy objectives set out in the aforementioned Concept to increase the birth rate and reduce the mortality rate, the birth rate continues to decline, and the natural decline of the rural population in the regions of the Central Federal District increases. Despite government measures to stimulate the birth rate in the regions (including maternity capital programs, which are analyzed in detail in this article), rural birth rates in the Central Federal District lag significantly behind the Russian average. Against the backdrop of declining birth rates in rural areas, there is a trend towards convergence of birth rates between urban and rural populations in the Central Federal District.
