Потенциал школы в формировании у обучающихся чувства сопричастности с локальным сообществом
Context and relevance. The topic is relevant from the perspective of the problem of youth outflow, which is characteristic of both Russian regions and individual territories within regions. One of the factors of youth migration is considered to be a sense of belonging to the local community. The desire for a sense of belonging is one of the main psychological needs that can determine emigration intentions. The school is vested with the functions of a provider of career guidance practices of students, which is directly related to the planning of post-school trajectories; the school is also given the function of civic identity formation, but the school discourse and school strategies do not include the idea of developing a sense of belonging. Objective. To select a theoretical framework for identifying and conceptualizing the school's capacity to build students' sense of ownership of place and the tools by which this effect can be analyzed. Methodology. In order to understand how schools can contribute to the development of students' sense of belonging, a literature review and conceptualization of the system of relations between schools and representatives of the external environment in terms of the development of students' sense of belonging were conducted. The theoretical bases determining the factors of forming a sense of belonging were analyzed. Conclusions. Theoretically established how the studied factors of forming a sense of belonging can be taken into account in the activities of the school in the external environment. The model of analyzing the degree of school openness to external interaction based on the assessment of school practices and context – characteristics of the school's external environment is proposed.
