The Role of Ethics in Organizational Internal Communication—A Synthesis and Agenda
FIIB Business Review. 2025.
The ethical considerations surrounding Internal Communication (IC) in organization and management studies have received limited attention and are characterized by a lack of systematic research. To fill the void, this paper conducts a systematic review of the position of ethics in IC and its impact. Our investigation uncovers three key topics about ethics in the field of IC at individual-level, organizational, and managerial levels. Synthesis of the results presents a guiding framework for researchers to further the discourse regarding ethics in IC and its influence across different levels.
