Вторая мировая война и локальные конфликты в оптике американского военного кино 1990—2010-х гг.
World War II became not only the key event of the 20th century, but also largely determined the formation of war cinema as a genre. L. Suid, T. Dougherty, C. Kopps and G. Black describe in detail the relationship between the American military complex and Hollywood. Today, these books are interesting not only in an academic context, but also as examples of reflection about past and ongoing conflicts. As one of the most famous researchers of war cinema, R. Eberwein, notes, "the history of war is in many ways also the history of its representation." And the question of abandoning military conflicts as a means of achieving certain political goals is inextricably linked with the analysis of strategies of their representation in cinema, the media and cultural studies.
