К вопросу об атрибуции и относительной датировке петроглифов Рашаан-Хад (Монголия)
The article gives a brief outline of the discovery and study of the rock art site Rashaan-Khad (Arshan-Khad, Rashan-Khad) during the 20th and beginning of the 21st centuries. Rashaan-Khad is a unique sanctuary revered for more than 12 thousand years – from the Upper Paleolithic Period to the present, and still retains its importance for the local population. Until now, petroglyphs of Rashaan-Khad remain poorly documented and only partially published. The paper describes the studies of the Russian-Mongolian research group that conducted test surveys and work on mapping and three-dimensional modeling of surfaces with petroglyphs in 2016. Based on the results of the survey, the question of returning to the discussion of the species belonging of zoomorphic images and probably the late Pleistocene Age of the oldest images is raised.
