The second volume of the series "Demography. Sociology. Economics" is the result of work of the Centre of Social Demography and Economic Sociology of the Institute for Socio-Political Research with scientists from the Far East. The book consists of three sections. The first section deals with the general features of demographic processes and demographic policy in the Far East. The second section of the tendencies of migration processes and approaches to migration management. The third section presents articles on the problems of labor market and employment in the regions of the Far East. The book is recommended for students, postgraduate students, teachers, scientists and experts in the field of demography, migration and of the labor market, as well as all those interested in the Russian Far East.
The articles in this collection are written on the basis of reports made in 2013 at the sociological faculty of Moscow State University M.V. Lomonosova at the annual meeting of the XVI Interdisciplinary Scientific Seminar "Mathematical modeling of social processes" named Hero of Socialist Labor Academician A.A. Samarskogo.
The publication is intended for researchers, teachers, students, universities and research institutes Russian Academy of Sciences with an interest in the development and implementation of the methodology of mathematical modeling for the study of social processes.
The research is devoted to confessional-ethical factors of Old Believers entrepreneurship in Russia at the end of 17th 19th centuries. In the pioneer study are identified and analyzed confessional values, moral institutions and aims of Old Believers, which advanced their effective entrepreneurship (devotion to labor, notion of property, entrepreneurship and etc.) Is scrutinized the formed ethics of Old Believers economic activity. Conclusion is done about the transformation of Old Belief to a confessional-economical community, which development represented a non-etatist modernization alternative to the state one.
