Особенности функционирования остановочных пунктов городского общественного пассажирского транспорта размещенных за регулируемыми перекрестами
The design of bus stops is a task of both transport and urban planning. Currently, the main of passenger flows in cities of the Russian Federation are served by bus transport. The study has established a large volume of urban public transport traffic on the streets of cities without a metro, which can exceed 100 units per hour or more. This forms a large volumes of public transport traffic and queues at public transport stops, which leads to additional lost time and reduces the travel speed. In this regard, a study of features of bus stops functioning is carried out. The study covered cities located in different regions of the Russian Federation. Particular attention is paid to the functioning of bus stops located behind the signalized intersections, which characterized by non-uniform arrival of buses and trolleybuses. The study made it possible to obtain: a representative sample of statistical data on the functioning of bus stops located behind signalized intersections. The bus stops performance parameters were determined as a functions of the public transport volumes and number routes, as well as signalized intersections traffic control timing. Simplified methodology based on failure rate was also developed for estimating the number of stop places at bus stop located behind signalized intersection. The resulting data and dependencies can be used to bus stops preliminary design at the stage of urban planning.
