Международные научные коллаборации российского социологического сообщества
The competitiveness of scientific teams implies not only the development of publication productivity, but also inclusion in the international academic community through collaborations with foreign scientists. This study presents the results of a bibliometric analysis of the international measurement of publications of the Russian sociological community based on materials from the Web of Science (WoSWoS) database for 1992-2022. The WoS scientometric database can be considered as an “international showcase” of scientific activity of the Russian sociological community. The article is aimed at identifying unique patterns of building international collaborations by the Russian sociological community through publications that are available to scientists in the international academic environment through the WoS database. The analysis was implemented using several software tools (VOSviewerr, Pajek, R Studio with the bibliometrix library (biblioshiny application)). The main emphasis in the work is on co-authorship networks to characterize the features of international collaborations of Russian sociologists through (all types of) publications indexed in WoS. In general, the Russian sociological community is very fragmented and is largely represented by authors working individually. Russian sociologists mainly build collaborations at the national level. The work analyzes co-authorship networks by authors, organizations and countries. The characteristics of the international dimension of Russian collaborations are presented, as well as a semantic analysis of the research field of the authors of the publications.
