SOME ASPECTS OF PROFESSIONAL PREPARATION OF SPECIALIST ON INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: PERSONALI- TY-ORIENTED APPROACH. The article deals with a problem of foreign language training of students at a university, which involves a combination of mastering a professionally-oriented foreign language with the development of personal qualities of students, knowl- edge of the culture of the country of the language and the acquisition of special skills based on professional and linguistic knowledge, the activation of educational activities. When implementing a student-centered process in the university, it is necessary to take into account that the formation of such qualities of students occur in the process of mastering professional knowledge, skills and abilities. When mastering professionally-oriented language material, a link is formed between the student’s desire to acquire special knowl- edge and the success of language acquisition. In other words, a foreign language is an effective means of not only professional, but also social orientation of students of non-linguistic specialties.
