At HSE University–St Petersburg, Experts Discuss How AI Changes Tourist Routes and Cultural Heritage
Neural networks are no longer simple travel assistants; now they decide what to include on the route and what to skip. Artificial intelligence changes how people perceive a place and shapes the image of tourist centres. At the II International Scientific and Practical Conference ’Information Technologies in the Preservation and Promotion of Cultural Heritage,’ researchers discussed who controls algorithmic solutions and in what ways, and whether authentic traditions get lost in them.

Природноочаговые болезни в Арктике в условиях меняющегося климата

Вестник Московского университета. Серия 5: География. 2022. № 1. С. 43–57.
Малхазова С. М., Mironova V., Башмакова И. Х.

This review is focused on the problem of the spread of natural focal diseases in the Arctic region under conditions of global climate change. The issues raised are: the influence of factors of a changing environment on the functioning of foci of natural focal diseases in the Arctic regions of Russia, Europe and North America; shifts in the areals of pathogens, carriers and vectors to the north in connection with climate warming. Several examples of outbreaks of natural focal diseases in the Arctic regions are given. The article reviews 55 publications. The selection of articles was made on the platforms Pubmed, ScienceDirect, e-library and Cyberleninka. Literature review made it possible to identify 18 natural focal diseases which are the most significant for the Russian and foreign Arctic; for 10 of them, a survey of distribution in Russia and other countries with Arctic territories was carried out.

Household environmental management practices, community engagement, and self-reported malaria incidence in urban and rural communities of Malawi
Lungu M. M., Davitadze A., Frontiers in Public Health 2026 Vol. 14 Article 1919768
Malaria control in Malawi relies primarily on long-lasting insecticide-treated nets (LLITNs) and indoor residual spraying (IRS), but transmission remains heterogeneous across districts. Previous research indicates that community-based environmental management strategies, such as routine drainage maintenance, vegetation removal, and effective household waste disposal, may reduce environmental conditions conducive to malaria vector proliferation. This study investigated the ...
