«Дама Ритберга» из Луристана: иконографическая программа

The analysis of the iconographic programme presented in the "Lady of Ritberg" showed that the iconography is not related either to Πττνια Θηρῶν ("Mistress of Animals ") or to Rankenfrau ("the Sprouting Virgin"). Probably, the basis of the iconographiа "Lady of Ritberg" was taken scheme associated with the image of a woman giving birth, known since the Neolithic era. Also, the analysis of "Lady of Ritberg" showed the possibility of differentiation of iconographic schemes on the principle of complication from the image of the act of birth (origin) to Rankenfrau (becoming). This differentiation allows us to confirm the theoretical propositions expressed by D. S. Raevsky on the possibility of reading the masterpiece as "visual hymns".
