In the spring and summer of 2019, the Sverdlovsk region, namely, the city of Yekaterinburg, did not descend from the pages of Federal publications. The reason was caused by dispute of citizens concerning building of the Central part of the city: construction of the temple or preservation of the square. However, this conflict is not first in the region, that falling in the Federal media: political conflicts also fell into the focus of experts and researchers. At the same time, the region demonstrates sustainable development, a large share of investments is maintained, large regional projects are prepared and implemented. However, the positioning of the region in the press does not include major cultural, social and economic projects available in the region. In this article, we attempt to form the image and brand of the region will be studied.
