Offered in this paper approach represents a new way related to contours definition of design office of companies combining process and design ac-tivity. We offer theoretically justified technology for a choice of the most adequate project management office format functioning on the basis of process and project management maturity definition when these two speci-fied approaches are combined in the company. Such view on project office allows use process interventions in project management as the element, allowing make project management more flexible.
Concepts of maturity, as well as main techniques (models) of process and project management maturity were considered during theoretical and methodological research. Besides, the main types of project office, func-tions classification, project office positions in management structure were analyzed.
