Динамика развития сообщества молодых политологов сквозь призму крупных мероприятий (на примере Совета молодых политологов Российской ассоциации политической науки)
Science as a social institution is believed to be closely related to the state of society and dependent on the socio-political context in which scientists operate. However, it is not clear whether this applies to young scientists. Student reports can reflect not only students' interests and their supervisors', but also the evolving educational process and attitudes towards political issues. Using data from the V-VII Forums of Young Political Scientists organized by the FYPS RAPS in 2018, 2021, and 2024, the authors examine the development of young political science through the lens of the thematic content and biographical information of participants. The article analyzes the distribution of student reports by level of education, institutional affiliation, and areas of political study. It also examines the keywords used in speech titles.. The authors conclude that over the past six years, political science as a discipline among students has not seen significant changes. Despite the introduction of new types of papers (for example, those related to youth policy and election research), political science remains associated with traditional categories and approaches in the analysis of political processes and institutions. This observation may also suggest that the content of programs for future political scientists remains unchanged. Furthermore, the authors note that the distribution of presenters by educational level has remained consistent, with a degree of variation in university representation. This leads them to conclude that the field is able to sustain the interest of new generations of scholars in political science, despite constant turnover of members of the community.. The article also notes that youth political science institutes are in most cases personal – they receive an impetus for development due to the efforts of specific individuals and fade away after the completion of the learning process.
