Игровая метафора в политическом дискурсе (на материале ток-шоу «60 минут»)

The relevance of the research is due to the fact that the image of the game takes an important place in the Russian language consciousness and turns out to be a very effective base for creating various metaphors. The purpose of the study is to comprehend the concept of a game in a political metaphor within the framework of political discourse. As a result of the use of structural-semantic, contextual and pragmatic methods, the distinctive characteristics of the metaphorical images of the game are demonstrated, the communicative components of the game images are revealed, various aspects of interpersonal and social relations are comprehended through the prism of the game. In political discourse, game metaphors become an active means of influencing the audience. The analysis of speech of the hosts of the political talk show "60 Minutes", as well as speech of the participants and guests of the study proves that the game acts as a certain way of interacting with reality, politics itself is interpreted as a game.
