‘Science Is Universal-It Knows No Borders
Fuad Aleskerov, Tenured Professor and Director of the International Centre of Decision Choice and Analysis at HSE University, together with his colleagues, has developed methods of network analysis in bibliometrics that have made it possible to identify patterns in the appearance and citation of publications in academic journals, as well as their influence on each other. When one or a number of studies are frequently cited by a wide range of journals, this is an indicator that the research is of high quality. By contrast, extensive cross-citation within a limited group of journals increases the likelihood of identifying a network of predatory publications.

Teacher Training and Professional Development for Inclusion in Russia

Ch. 9. P. 169–188.
Alekhina S., Kozlova M. A.

The chapter discusses professional training and advanced training of school teachers as a critical pillar of the development of inclusive education in Russia. Based on the analysis of normative documents regulating the professional training and educational activities of teachers, as well as the results of a series of empirical studies, the shortcomings of the existing system are explicated, slowing down the spread of inclusive practices, reducing the level of subjective well-being of teachers and indirectly affecting the well-being of students. Positive changes are also revealed both in the attitudes of Russian teachers towards inclusive education and in the development of their professional competencies and represented in comparison with the current situation in a number of post-Soviet countries
