The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which emerged in the late 80s of the XX century, is still the leitmotif of the political discourse of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. In the fall of 2020, another round of escalation shifted the contradictions in the symbolic space into an armed conflict between the two countries, which ended with the inclusion of Russia as a third party to regulation. This article is intended to analyze the image of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the ideas about the latter, thereby attempting to limit the discourses and search for a common foundation in order to use it to resolve the conflict.

Понимание российского внешнеполитического поведения вновь обретает осо-бую значимость не только в рамках конфликта на Украине и взаимоотношений со странами мирового большинства и меньшинства, но и в контексте изменяющегося мироустройства.
