The aim of this article is to measure and evaluate the financial self-sufficiency of SACCos in terms of financial performance metrics.
This article is highly relevant since it shows the efficiency and effectiveness the cooperative financing model in relation with sustainability and outreach performance. This study is unique in providing empirical evidence how much cooperative form of financing unbanked sections of the society is sustainable and accessible.
It has practical implications to top management of cooperatives and provide insighful recommendations to policy makers.
