Behavioral economics studies the features of economic decision-making taking into account cognitive distortions, social and emotional factors affecting the behavior of individuals, social groups and economic actors. The subject field of behavioral economics includes consumer behavior, an important part of which is the formation of a healthy lifestyle, as well as the development of methods to promote healthy habits: weight loss programs, smoking cessation, etc. The article provides an overview of some effective behavioral economics concepts used in public health and changing people's health behavior and patient compliance.
