Экономика искусственного интеллекта: возможности и проблемы использования в здравоохранении
In today's world, artificial intelligence is primarily used in the digital economy. A true breakthrough in AI application will be achieved when its technologies are extended to traditional sectors of the economy, including medicine. The authors use cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of artificial intelligence in healthcare, identifying three challenges to its application. The research methodology draws on the scientific and practical work of Russian and international scholars in the field of economics of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Separating the analysis into short-term and long-term periods is necessary to study the sequence of steps in applying artificial intelligence technologies in the medical field and assess the short- and long-term costs and benefits of its use. The application of artificial intelligence algorithms in the short term helps resolve bottlenecks in today's healthcare. In the long term, artificial intelligence will fundamentally transform the relationship between doctors and patients by enhancing teamwork, changing the organizational structure of the treatment process, remote patient monitoring, and, overall, shifting traditional medicine from a "closed" system to an "open" healthcare model. The study's results may be useful to artificial intelligence specialists and scientists whose research interests include studying the improvement of healthcare economics.
