Древнегреческая поэзия на Боспоре
In this paper, we publish some epigraphic poetry fragments. 1) A fragment of the attic kylix (type C) brim from the early 5th century B.C. found in August 2016 in Panticapaeum. It contains two initial verses of a school exercise ho-nouring Dionysus. Their reconstruction gives the following text: Γ]ιόνςζομ πολ[ςγα/εϑῆ ηὸ]μ θιλόμολ[πον e.g. ἀείδω «I sing of Dionysus bringing a lot of joy and loving songs and dance». The inscription gives a new important epiclesis of Dionysus – θιλόμολπορ – and makes it possible to identify a rich Dionysian layer in Bosporic toponymy, including the understanding of the name «Bosporus» as «the Way of Dionysus the Ox». 2) The inscription on the pan of kylix of type C (1st quarter of V B.C.) found in Phanagoria in 1977: ίμōν· σαπίεζζα εἰμὶ κάλλορ, ἀγαϑὲ καὶ μεηπίε «Simon (masculine name), I am the charming beauty, accessible for you and right by my size» – the verse phrase of hetaera addressed to her lover, the proof that the institution of hetaeras existed in Phanagoria. 3) A fragment of white plaster found in 1969 in Hermonassa is a real sensation. It contains two verses of the earlier unknown ancient Athenian come-dy – αηύπα π[ολύϋμνορ ζηῆναι] ἔηλε καὶ ηὴ[ν ἀναζύπηο]λιν «Famous Satyra resolved to stay a slut» – concerning the famous Athenian hetaera Satyra, the girl-friend of Themistocles. This inscription demonstrates the Hemonassian citi-zens' high level of knowledge of literature.
