Интертекстуальная функция картины в видеоиграх
This paper is dedicated to the dynamics of intertextuality in the western culture from the XIX to XXI centuries stemming from the appearance of cinematography and video games as new narrative forms studied through the storyline function of a picture analysis. Firstly, the research methodology, based on the theoretical models by european semiologists, narratologists, and game studiers, and the empirical base, consisting of the pieces of literature, films, and video games from 1835 to 2016, are described. Then, the chosen creations are consequently analysed in order to describe the functional peculiarities of a picture as a narrative element in every case and within the general evolution. Finally, the conclusions about the change of the paintings’ function in the plot and the gradual reinforcement of spatial aspect during the transition to cinema and video games are made.
