Роль "триады Роджерса" в социально-психологической адаптации мигрантов: эмпирическое исследование
The empirical study aimed at investigating the relationship between the level of manifestation of “Rogers' triad” and the level of migrants' adaptation. The research project, sample, methods and techniques are presented. A quantitative and qualitative analysis of the obtained data and their discussion are presented. The study of the processes of accommodation and assimilation underlying the adaptation of migrants revealed the essential role of the "Rogers triad" in the construction of balanced adaptation. Respondents with low level of “Rogers' triad” are characterized by unbalanced adaptation options: either accommodation (domination of the environment over the self) or assimilation (domination of the self over the environment). The findings indicate that migrants should not be regarded as victims of unfavorable life circumstances having certain psychological characteristics, but rather as active people striving to fulfil their potential. The psychotherapeutic principles of person-to-person communication using the elements of the person-centered approach can be used by psychological services and governmental agencies for the purpose of comprehensive socio-psychological adaptation of migrants in the country of residence.
