The foundations and the prospects of a new approach in psychology are discussed. This approach aims at uniting the fundamental and practical psychology of personality, and is called «personology»(instead of «psychology of personality» in Russian terms). Common personology is viewed as a unity of personological practice (theory-oriented practice of the development of the personality). The system of requirements to the personological facts is shown: they have to be non-trivial, informative and have the existential significance. Experimental paradigm for personology is proposed.
