The article deals with linguistic and pragmatic features of the use of word-formative neologisms
in the texts of modern Russian media. It presents an analysis of the influential
specificity of word-formative neologisms created by the usual (affixation, affixoidation)
and unusual (hybridization, substitutive word-formation, graph-subdivision) methods of
word formation.
