Neuro Sync: Inventing Data-enhanced communication in Russia.
The Russian Journal of Communication. 2017. Vol. 9. No. 3. P. 278–286.
Ninenko I.
Nowadays, almost any experience can be digitalised, copied and reproduced; it is nothing but data. In this article, we discuss a new ethics of technology- and data-enhanced communication. We explore neurotechnology, one of the final frontiers of digitalisation, as a possible new way to share inner processes happening within the brain, to communicate with each other. Using real-time data, we create a shared neurofeedback environment that helps artists better understand each other in an extremely new model of data-driven communication.
