Логика поздней глобализации: сетевизация и геоэстетика
The article attempts to undertake a socio-philosophical study of the
functioning of the internal logic of late globalization. Late globalization is the
primary subject of the examination. The transformation of modernity presupposes
a number of changes in the functioning of globalization processes. Among them
are ‘networkization’ and aestheticization of everyday life.
Addressing this stage of globalization development allows us to
retrospectively identify some of the features that have ensured the success of the
universalist project in general. Networking becomes one of the main criterial
characteristics of a globalized modernity, and it has a spatial dimension. The
author offers a review of the history of the concept and its philosophical
interpretations in order to clarify the meaning of the modern concept of
geoaesthetics, which has replaced the more traditional concept of geophilosophy.
The aesthetic dimension of space becomes a consequence of the functioning
of networking. This leads to the conclusion that in order to understand the trends
of globalization in our times, the cultural logic of networking should be
considered. The categories of the aesthetic become the key concepts for
networking.
The article examines the concept of cosmodernism that gives a philosophical
interpretation of the aestheticization of our planet’s spatial dimensions. Its critical
analysis draws a number of conclusions about the internal logic of globalization.
The vector towards the aestheticization of space seems to be obvious. Networking
functions according to spatial but not temporal laws. The weak point of the
conception is the emphasis on the complexity of the literary language, for which
the network infrastructure is an advantage.
The author concludes that networking is in fact a much more one-sided
process that unifies everything according to a single standard. This should be
taken into account when analyzing national value foundations of any society
including the Russian one.
