La notion de sobornost’ dans la pensée russe, hier et aujourd’hui
Cahiers de philosophie de l’Université de Caen. 2020. Vol. 57. P. 173-186.
This article studies retrospectively the main directions in the interpretation of the notion of sobornost’ in modern Russian philosophical thought. Key to Russian religious philosophy on the border of the 19th and 20th centuries, this term has not lost its importance today. On the contrary, it has acquired new meanings. From a primarily religious-philosophical and epistemological notion, it has been transformed into an ontological and anthropological category. This has made it possible to describe the present Russian national community as a “conciliarity” corresponding to the “Russian idea”.
