Провинция как пространство безвластия (наброски русской культуры)
In this article, the author, using sketches of Russian culture, discusses how the institutions of power function in the province, and how it can be perceived by the society.
From the point of view of the author, the pressure of the authorities drops significantly as the province reaches the space. Power remains the prerogative of the center, where there is a traditionally high concentration of institutions of power and politics in general. Such a regime of power functioning is typical for imperial practice, which traditionally perceived the province as an unequal partner.
The author believes that the province in Russian culture can be represented as a space of anarchy, manifestations of which can be the absence of institutions and infrastructure, legal nihilism and anarchy. The problem of anarchy is timeless, fully actualized in a modern Russian province, deprived of attention by the authorities.
