Production enterprise «Novosibirsk Aircraft Repair Plant» wants to decrease helicopter’s repair cost in order to fulfill the strategy of entering domestic aircraft repair market. It is essential to develop an integrated simulation model describing organization’s processes, which should be used to explore the opportunities of the key indicator reduction. Simulation methodology and system dynamics serve as basis for the model building. Apart from theoretical considerations, the work includes primary enterprise survey, problem statement and selection of the preferred simulation system. At the first stage of model development, cognitive modeling is performed in order to specify the system’s structure and its elements’ interrelations. Next, the simulation model is built using the selected tool. A number of subsequent experimental runs of the developed model performed within scenario planning result in identification of an optimum activity scenario. Eventually the strategic course of action is designed to provide helicopter’s repair cost reduction and thus meet the goal of the enterprise.
