ICICM '18 Proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Information Communication and Management
It is a pleasure to present the proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Information Communication and Management (ICICM 2018). The conference was held on August 22-24, 2018 in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. The aim of ICICM is to create a linkage between industry and academia and to build an multidisciplinary discussion platform for researchers in academia. The conference program was put together as a result of much hard work and dedication by many people. Divided into four chapters, the 22 papers, selected from 47 submissions, published in the conference proceedings focus on multiple and diver aspects of the development and application of information and communication technology. The four chapters were devoted to the following themes: • computer and software engineering, • digital communication technology and development, • information science and management, • educational innovation and knowledge engineering. Each papers were evaluated by two anonymous reviewers who are qualified in the field of information communication and management. The conference has also been highlighted by the guest speakers: Prof. Alexander Balinsky, Cardiff University, UK, talked on Mathematics of Deep Learning; Prof. Atour Taghipour, University of LeHavre, France, talked on Supply Chain Coordination; Prof. Joachim Griesbaum, University of Hildesheim, Germany, talked on Fostering Information Literacy on the Web: Results of a Game‐ based Learning Scenario. Our sincere gratitude goes to the session chairs, the technical program committee members for their hard efforts in ensuring the quality of the papers. We hope that ICICM delivers some valuable input and insights for industry and academia and look forward to hold future conferences.
