Работа советского журналиста-международника в Южной Азии (на примере Л.В. Митрохина)
In the recent years there has been an active discussion of the existence of communication matrices, which determine the methods chosen by a journalist to reach his professional goals. It has been discovered that there is a connection between institutional matrices that define the life of society on the whole, communication matrices that shape social communication and media matrices that establish the framework of professional journalism.
For the further development of this theory there is a need in thorough study and comparison of the professional methods of journalists from different historical periods. Without making claims to the accomplishment of such a comprehensive task, authors have analyzed the essential characteristics of professional activities and communication strategies and tactics of a journalist, who worked in the socio-cultural space of India, through the case study of L.V. Mitrokhin, a soviet journalist working in India, who followed the communist theory of mass media. Given article focuses on main types of communicational strategies and research technologies of a professional journalist, as well as the results of his archive search and analytical and informational activities. It presents the history of Mitrokhin’s investigation of British intelligence service in Asia and studies the communication scenarios of his discovery of the previously unknown letter of Elena Roerich to President F.D. Roosevelt. Given paper features the first-ever use of materials from Mitrokhin’s private archive for research purposes, concluding that the ideological and political views of a journalist to not effect technical aspects of his professional work.
