От вариативности к ошибкам: особенности согласования по числу в сочинениях финских студентов-билингвов (по данным Русского учебного корпуса RLC)

This article demonstrates some tendencies in the number agreement between the quantitative subject and the verb in essays of Russian bilinguals whose dominant language is Finnish. The data of the Russian Learner Corpus shows that although the rules of the dominant Finnish language require a singular form of verb, Russian-Finnish bilinguals do not transfer this singular-oriented model of agreement in their written Russian. Istead, they prefer a plural form of the verb even more widely than it occurs with the quantitative subject among Russian monolinguals. Moreover, the article shows that the tendency to use plural verb forms also comprises collective singular subjects and leads to agreement errors in Russian, such as Zapad vidyat (the West see), Partiya platyat (a party pay) and so on.
