Современный алтайский шаманизм в контексте национальной религиозной политики Республики Алтай
The article is focused on understanding the process of post-Soviet revitalization of the Altai shamanism as a form of people Altai faith responding the national aspirations of the Altaians. The author analyzes various modifications of shamanism, restored in the last 25 years, peculiarities of contemporary "shamanistic theology" corresponding in many ways the traditions of the Turkic nations, and the contest of the modern shamanistic leaders interpretations, illustrating the impact of modern cultural, civilizational factors. Attention is also paid to Burkhanism – a religious movement that arose in the early twentieth century, and through the Post-Soviet epoch appeared to be at the forefront of disputes between the representatives of shamanism and Buddhists.
