One of the points in the discussion on the place of N.P. Antsiferov’s conception in the theoretical debates of 1920s was its treatment as sociological. The author of this article tries to suggest an alternative view on the nature of the sociologism and to link it not with notions of authors personality and «real commentary» but with the turn to the exploration of reader’s experience and literary imagination.
