<span><span>Near North Russia covers a huge territory to the north of Moscow, and its surrounding large industrial and cultural centers. <span>It is a special world of the Russian provinces, in the not so distant past played an important role in the history of our country, and today has lost a significant part of its population and economic potential. <span>The crisis here has become a kind of chronic disease. <span>Yet Near North maintains its vitality, the special nature of the warehouse people, natural beauty and cultural monuments. <span>Revealing these and other features of our native land of the north, the authors are based not only on the living, interesting and in many respects unique observations, but also on the basis of the rich scientific material collected within Ugric project in 2000-2015 gg., And the project "Journey <span>from St. Petersburg to Moscow "made in 2013-2014. <span>For local historians, researchers, recent history, social and cultural processes in modern Russia, geographers. <span>It is of interest to a wide range of readers.</p>
