Урбанизационные и дезурбанизационные процессы при формировании социалистической Перми (1923–1939 годы)
Гл. 8. С. 52–58.
The article, based on materials from the State Archives of the Perm Territory and periodicals, reconstructs the processes of formation of “greater Perm” and the transformation of the city in the 1920-30s. to a large industrial center. Numerous examples demonstrate that the development of the city during this period was not only accompanied by problems characteristic of early Soviet urbanization (acute housing crisis, lagging urban infrastructure, environmental problems), but was also marked by specific elements of “deurbanization” associated with a noticeable lag in the sphere of improvement and the inclusion into the city limits of significant areas of outlying areas that are rural in nature and the mentality of their inhabitants.
