L. Morosanu (University of Sussex, UK) and J. Fox (Bristol University, UK) discuss strategies of the overcoming of consequences of stigmatization used by migrants from Romania to the UK. The purpose of the study is defined as "the tracking of ethnicising phenomenon in the reactions of migrants to the stigma." Empirical selection of the two strategies allows to describe fluctuations of the relevance of stigma, destigmatizing role of discourses and practices in the production, transformation and, sometimes, ignoring of ethnic boundaries.
