This article monitors and analyses some of the most important indicators of material and social well-being of the residents of Moscow. The multidimensional approach applied in this article enables us to make a comprehensive assessment of the main changes in the quality of life of the population. the analysis is based on the 2012-2014 waves of the annual longitudinal survey "Moscow and Muscovites" which allows examining both objective and subjective indicators of the quality of life in the Russian metropolis. The indicators covered by the study include: the level of income security, poverty rates by income, relative deprivation and subjective assessment by the respondents, as well as the respondents’ self-assessment of their wealth and relative position in a society. a special attention is paid to the social issues that are perceived as important by the respondents, in order to obtain a more comprehensive picture of social well-being of residents of Moscow over the past three years.
