The article examines the impact of sanctions and trade-related economic restrictions imposed by the United States during the Trump administration on China’s macroeconomic dynamics and its position in the global economy. The purpose of the study is to assess how external pressure affected GDP growth, foreign trade, and investment activity, as well as to identify changes in China’s economic strategy. The analysis is based on a comparison of key indicators before and after 2018 using data from international organizations and methods of comparative and economic-statistical analysis. The study considers tariff measures, technological restrictions, and other forms of external economic pressure. It is shown that the sanction policy was accompanied by slower economic growth and changes in the structure of China’s external economic relations; however, it did not lead to systemic destabilization and contributed to the acceleration of adaptive and structural changes in China’s development model.
