The article examines Coaching psychology as a field of academic and applied psychology that studies the mechanisms and effectiveness of coaching practice. It explores its methodological foundations, its connections to general, social, and organizational psychology, and the importance of an evidence-based approach for the development of coaching. It demonstrates that the development of coaching in Russia requires scientifically based models, protocols, effectiveness assessment tools, and high-quality research. The article describes the main areas of research conducted by HSE researchers in the field of coaching psychology and suggests areas for further research.
