The article reflects the content of the analytical session of international lawyers, held within the framework of the VII All-Russian Conference of Analysts of Russia. The session took place against the background of allegations in the Western media about the deepening crisis of international law related, in particular, to Russia's special military operation in Ukraine. Most of the session participants disagreed with this. International law has been and remains the legal basis of international cooperation, and the universal norms of international law continue- They must act and must be respected. The participants expressed interesting ideas about modern approaches to the protection of human rights and Russia's national interests in the international arena. Proposals have been made to develop international cooperation within the framework of universal and regional international associations, including the EAEU, BRICS and SCO. The analytical session was attended by leading Russian international lawyers. The first part of the review contains presentations by professors A.Ya. Kapustin, A.S. Ispolinov, and A.I. Kovler.
