It is advisable to form systems for the education of spiritual and moral values and patriotism, taking into account the need for recognition. It is important to increase the transparency of the system for selecting gifted children to participate in specialized development programs. The article shows that in order to develop an infrastructure for supporting talented youth, it is necessary to form a number of regulatory documents defining methods for the qualitative and quantitative determination of giftedness, depending on their types. A comprehensive and balanced program for the gifted must necessarily include a strong affective component and promote the social and emotional development of students. In world practice, there are several common models for creating infrastructure for the development of gifted youth with high academic abilities. These models include personality development in a socio-cultural environment through the creation of special conditions for support, as well as the formation of specialized institutions for gifted youth at the pre-university stage. Both models have their advantages and limitations. In Russia, support institutions are currently developing according to the second option, special centers are being created to implement programs aimed at developing various types of giftedness. Patriotic education is also carried out within the framework of these centers, which contributes to the formation of not only highly qualified specialists, but also responsible citizens.
