Development of a Digital Twin of a Fiber-Optic Linear Motion Sensor
All stages of the life cycle (LC) of a product can be accompanied using a digital twin, the functionality of which depends on the stage of LC. The digital twin concept is especially relevant for complex multicomponent structures, as well as for products with expensive components or materials, where minimizing errors and possible defects of the final product is critically important. At the same time, its use is less justified in cases where acceptable variations in product characteristics are possible, reliable quality control systems are in place, or the costs of rejection and processing are not significant. The aim of the research is to develop a digital twin of a fiber-optic linear motion sensor that can simulate its operation and take into account various external factors that may affect the measurement results.
