Криминалистическое прогнозирование – важнейшая составляющая криминалистической профилактики

Mission: modern challenges and threats pose very serious tasks to the science of criminalistics, which cannot be solved without the function of foresight. In conditions that make it extremely difficult to investigate crimes and bring to justice those involved in the commission of crimes, the role of criminalistics prevention is obviously significantly increasing. In order to increase the effectiveness of criminalistics prevention, first of all, a high degree of foresight is needed for the emergence of new ways and means of committing crimes, which will obviously be conditioned by the development of technologies, both digital and psychological.  The article examines the role of the predictive function of the science of criminalistics in criminalistics prevention.

Methodology: dialectical method, analysis, synthesis, deduction, formal legal method, system method, method of intersectoral legal research.

Conclusions: anticipating the emergence of new ways and means of committing crimes is a necessary element in the development of effective measures for the criminalistic prevention of crimes..

Scientific and practical significance. The development of technologies inevitably leads to its subsequent use for criminal purposes. Banning or denying technology is dangerous and harmful. The only effective way to oppose the use of technology to the detriment of society and the state is the criminalistic prediction of the emergence of new ways and means of committing crimes and the development of measures of criminalistic prevention for the significant difficulty or impossibility of implementing such methods. The offensive action of criminalistics prevention in modern conditions is necessary. But it is possible only with the active forecasting of threats by the science of criminalistics.
