Разгадка торможения Евросоюза
In recent decades, the European Union has had the image of a vibrant and therefore successful organization with an efficient economic model. Now the perception has changed. There are several reasons for the EU's stagnation and its lagging behind major global competitors. These include increasing labor and energy costs, insufficient development of science and R&D, high levels of taxes and income redistribution, huge expenditures on “green” programs, overstretched social system, including due to the influx of immigrants, which affects the welfare and attitudes of the traditional middle classes. The European Union is facing difficulties in production, innovation and overall economic growth. The situation is particularly acute for companies in the technology sector. It is these companies that may move production to the United States in search of more favorable financing and fewer legislative obstacles. But there are also more fundamental reasons. In the case of lagging behind China, it is the lack of an intensive industrial policy. And compared to the United States, the EU is simply not integrated enough.
