The article examines the phenomenon of "Internationale Lettriste", a precursor to the "Situationist International". Using the example of articles published in the typewriter magazine Potlatch (1952-1957), the strategies of Guy Debord and Gilles Wolman to promote the group and legitimize it within the literary sphere of the neo-avant-garde in the 1950s are explored. Special attention is given to the concepts of "détournement" and "plagiarisme".
